Karrie Smith

Hello, 

My name is Karrie Smith, and I am the new Financial Assistant and front office secretary.  I started at the UAW Local 1112 in September 2024 where I started my journey in the union world.  I have never worked for a union before, and it's been a joy to learn about so far.  

A little bit about myself, I grew up here in the Mahoning County area. Went to college at YSU for my associate's in applied science and medical assistant. Now you see I no longer work in the medical field, but that is something I will hold dear to my heart. As life went on and when I was offered the position at Local 1112 as the secretary, I took that jump and never looked back. It has been an adjustment coming from a high demand medical world to something completely different.  I am extremely grateful to have this opportunity and cannot wait to see what happens next. 

I am here Monday- Friday from 8am-4pm.
