VIN Numbers
If the first number of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the small metal plate attached to the front of every dashboard is a "1" or "4", that vehicle was assembled in the U.S. A "2" means Canada, a "3" means Mexico and a "J" means Japan.

* Asterisk indicates some vehicles (cars and trucks) of this model are UAW-assembled, but some are assembled in other countries. Be sure to check the window sticker for the location of the assembly plant.
